Since starting paleo I had noticed large increase in occurrence of the soups in my life. In fact, they literally became my daily bread. I find them to be very convenient instruments to mitigate hunger, specially in the morning. They serve perfect and heartwarming breakfast for me. They are also very practical as they could be made ahead and consumed continuously through the day(s). Luckily, my girlfriend is also huge fan of soups and she prepares one almost every other day. In the near future, I will carry out the post dealing with the art of preparing tasty soups, which she masters. This time, she made tasty prawn based one. The only downside is that prawns are pretty expensive here…
- 250 g of prawns
- 3 carrots
- 2 onions
- 1 leek
- 3 potatoes (omit if pursuing HC paleo)
- butter or another convenient fat
- something green to decorate with

Wash and peel all the veggies. Dice or slice them to a little chunks. Put some butter at the bottom of the medium sized pot and start roasting onion and leek. After while, add carrot. After another while, add diced potatoes and water and let it cook.
When cooked properly, which should take about 15 minutes, add some salt and puree it all using blender. Finally, add prawns and let cook for another 5 to 10 minutes, depending on their size. Decorate with parsley, young onion.
